Samuel "Sam" Norden, OTR/L, CHT
Sam grew up in New Hampshire and moved out west after completing his undergraduate degree. Several years later, he discovered his passion for upper extremity rehab and orthopedics while shadowing a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and decided to go back to graduate school.
Sam received his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 2020 and began working at gabel PT shortly thereafter. He specializes in rehabilitation of the upper limb - evaluating and treating a variety of injuries and conditions such as complex trauma, postoperative care, sports related injuries and injuries due to overuse. His expertise also includes custom fabrication of splints and orthoses. Sam provides an individualized treatment approach for his patients based on their goals and needs. He utilizes a combination of manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular reeducation, exercise and patient education to help restore pain free function after your injury, so you can get back to doing the activities you enjoy. Most recently in 2025, Sam received his Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT), which demonstrates competency in the skills and knowledge required to treat the upper extremity.
When he is not in the clinic, Sam likes spending time outside with his wife and friends skiing, hiking, biking, hunting and fishing.
